HKU 161st Congregation for the conferment of Honorary Degrees

The 161st Congregation of the University of Hong Kong (HKU) for the conferment of honorary degrees is to be held at 5:30pm on March 29, 2001 (Thursday), at the Loke Yew Hall of the Main Building of the University.

Dr the Honourable T.L. Yang, the Pro-Chancellor of the University will confer honorary degrees upon five outstanding persons. The recipients are:

Doctor of Laws honoris causa
The Honourable Chief Justice Andrew Li Kwok Nang
Professor G William Skinner

Doctor of Science honoris causa
Professor Wu Jieping

Doctor of Social Sciences honoris causa
Professor Leung Ping Chung
Shih Cheng Yen
