Shaw Prize Lectures at HKU

The Shaw Laureates in Mathematical Sciences will be delivering lectures at the University of Hong Kong tomorrow (September 14).

This year, six renowned scientists in Astronomy, Life Science and Medicine, and Mathematical Sciences were awarded Shaw Prizes for their contributions and academic achievements in their respective fields. The prizewinners in the mathematical sciences category, Professor David Mumford and Professor Wu Wentsun, will speak at HKU tomorrow.

11.50am Lecture by Professor Wu on "From Ancient Chinese Traditional Mathematics to Modern China's Mathematics Mechanization "
12.40pm Presentation of souvenirs
