The Department of Civil Engineering of The University of Hong Kong will hold a ceremony to honour nine outstanding dignitaries for their contributions in teaching and research to the Department and contributions in professional services to the community of Hong Kong.
Professor T.S. Ng, Dean of Engineering will present the Certificates of Honorary Professorship for the Department of Civil Engineering to the following nine personalities. HKU Pro-Vice- Chancellor Professor C.F. Lee and Pro-Vice- Chancellor Professor Joseph Lee will also be present at the ceremony.

The ceremony will take place at 6:30pm on Wednesday, January 17, 2007, in Room MG07, Main Building of the University. Members of the media are cordially invited to attend.
