The University of Hong Kong kicks off its Centenary Celebrations

The University of Hong Kong officially launched its Centenary Celebrations today (January 9) in the HKU 100 Kick-Off Ceremony. Over 4,000 students, staff, alumni together with their families, residents from the neighbourhood and community centres joined the kick-off ceremony, parade and carnival in the Stanley Ho Sports Centre.

The University's Centenary Celebrations, which will last for two years, was launched by the officiating guests in the kick-off ceremony. The Ceremony was followed by a parade by 2,000 students, staff and alumni, showcasing the University's diversity. Participants also enjoyed a joyous family day with their families in the picnic and carnival.
