Vice-Chancellor Professor Lap-Chee Tsui presented with the Most Supportive Member Award of HKU Marathon Team

Since 2006, HKU Vice-Chancellor Professor Lap-Chee Tsui has been leading the HKU Marathon Team in the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon. Over 9,300 HKU members have represented the Team. After the races today (February 16), Professor Tsui was presented the Most Supportive Member Award by Chairman of the HKU Marathon Team Organising Committee Professor Paul Cheung and founding team member Ms Pauline Tse. 

The HKU Marathon Team has once again achieved good results in the marathon races this year. Alumni Rachel Sproston was the champion in Half Marathon (Women’s Master 1), Dr Angela Leung was the first runner-up in 10Km (Women’s Master 2). Student Michelle Dale Lowry was the second runner-up in Full Marathon (Women’s Master 1).
