The International Conference on Grief and Bereavement in Contemporary Society to be held in Asia for the first time

The 10th International Conference on Grief and Bereavement in Contemporary Society will be held at the University of Hong Kong from June 11 to 14, 2014 (Wednesday to Saturday). Over 250 papers and reports will be presented during the four-day conference for academic exchange and 20 professional training workshops will be held to enhance the skills of healthcare professional and practitioners. The conference is funded by a donation of HK$1.48 million from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust.

The International Conference on Grief and Bereavement in Contemporary Society (ICGB) is a renowned tri-annual international event that brings together over 1,000 local and overseas scholars, leading healthcare professionals and experts in Thanatology to provide a platform for knowledge exchange, skill sharing and multidisciplinary collaborations across cultural and geographical boundaries. This is the first time the conference is held in Asia.

The 10th International Conference is organised by the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Hong Kong in collaboration with the HKSAR Social Welfare Department and IGCB.
