HKU Receives Largest Single Donation from The Hong Kong Jockey Club for the Establishment of the Centre for Clinical Innovation and Discovery and Institute of Cancer Care at Grantham Hospital

The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust (“the Trust”) has pledged a donation to the University of Hong Kong (HKU) for the establishment of the Centre for Clinical Innovation and Discovery (CCID) and the Institute of Cancer Care (ICC) at Grantham Hospital by the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine (Medical Faculty).  This latest pledge from the Trust would be the largest single donation to HKU and its Medical Faculty, and will fund the first phase of development for construction works and pre-commissioning programmes, laying the foundation for deeper collaborative partnership with the Trust for post-opening programmatic services to benefit public’s health.

An announcement ceremony will be held on June 28.  Details are as follows:

A shuttle bus has been arranged to pick up the press from Admiralty for the ceremony.  Members of the press please wait outside the McDonald’s of Admiralty Centre (Exit A of the Admiralty MTR Station).  The bus will leave at 1:45 p.m. sharp.
